 Vineyard & Terroir
The vineyard is situated on Dry Creek in the heart of the valley. Our family cultivates the 45 acre vineyard planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Chardonnay. In May of 2008, we planted 1200 vines of Petit Verdot and Malbec which in future years will bring complexity to our “Dry Creek Valley Red Wine.”
Soil and climate are the most influential factors in great wine. Lambert Bridge Vineyard has gravelly creekside soil and a Bordeaux- like climate. Due to the porosity of the soil and great drainage the vine roots dig deeper in search of more minerals which bring complexity to this wine. As the old saying goes “the worse the soil the better the wine."
Proven Quality
The vineyard was once owned by Lambert Bridge Winery where the Merlot garnered numerous accolades. Since our first vintage in 2002, we have received a medal in every wine competition that we have entered.
