This wine is a big Merlot in the mold of the 2004 but has even more concentrated flavors as it spent 27 months in French and American oak barrels. It has huge Blueberry and Cherry fruit with a touch of Anise. The oak is well integrated and adds complexity with flavors of vanilla and coconut.

This is a Monstrous Merlot. It has earth, cola, cherry, spice, and toasty vanilla oak. It could be laid down for up to 12 years but is begging to be drunk now with a big steak.Unfined and Unfiltered.

Fruit forward with layers of black cherry, cola, and mint. It is backed up with structure, with moderate tannins and acidity. There is some chocolate and toasty vanilla before a long dry finish. Quite a complex wine for a Merlot, that even the grumpy guy from “Sideways” would love it. This wine can hold up to the heartiest steak or lamb.
